This Privacy Policy describes how Epic Mind Labs ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the Speedy CA mobile application (the "App"), available on Google Play. The App is distributed free of charge and is supported by in‑app advertising. By installing or using the App you accept the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please uninstall the App and stop using it.
The App does not run any backend server we operate and does not transmit personally identifying information to Epic Mind Labs. Everything listed below is stored in the App's private storage on your own device and is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data from Android Settings.
None of the items above leave your device. We have no way to read, copy, back‑up, or recover them.
INTERNET — to download the one‑time PDF library, fetch ads, and check for app updates / in‑app review prompts.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — to detect whether the device is online and show a friendly "no internet" screen when it is not.The App requests no other dangerous or sensitive permissions. It does not access your contacts, calendar, camera, microphone, location, photos, SMS, call logs, accounts, or files outside its own private folder.
To keep the App free we rely on a small number of well‑known SDKs. Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy:
We do not control how these third parties handle data they collect under their own policies. We do not receive a personally identifying copy of any of it.
The App is monetised through advertising delivered by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (AAID) and standard request metadata (device model, OS version, language, coarse region inferred from IP, ad interaction events) to serve and measure ads. You can reset your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads entirely, from your Android device settings (Settings → Google → Ads). Doing so does not remove ads from the App but makes them non‑personalised.
The App does not embed any third‑party crash‑reporting or analytics SDK (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Sentry, Mixpanel, etc.). If the App crashes, Google Play may collect a standard ANR / crash trace at the operating‑system level if you have opted in to share usage data with Google. That collection is governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours.
Every piece of data the App writes is stored inside its private application sandbox on your device. We do not operate a backend that holds your data and we do not transmit it to ourselves. While we follow reasonable engineering practices to keep the App safe (release signing, tamper checks on critical components, and HTTPS‑only network calls), no software is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security for data that already lives on your device.
The App is intended for general audiences — primarily students preparing for Indian civil‑service and state‑level examinations — and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address below and we will take appropriate action.
Because all App data lives only on your device, you control retention. You can remove it at any time by:
For data held by the third‑party services listed in Section 4 (e.g. ad identifiers), follow the deletion / reset options in each provider's privacy policy.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable data‑protection laws (such as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in India, GDPR in the EEA/UK, or CCPA in California) to request access, correction, restriction, portability, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. Because we do not hold a personally identifying copy of your App data on our servers, most such requests will be satisfied by the on‑device controls described above; for anything else, contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will also be highlighted in the App's next update notes on Google Play. Continued use of the App after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
